The area is home to arguably the most memorable ride at Alton Towers with Oblivion looming over the area striking an imposing image. Over the years many thousands of people have braved its fearsome (near) vertical drop... and just as many people have chickened out, preferring instead to sit at the sidelines and watch their friends and family drop into Oblivion!
The X Sector is also home to the family thrills of the Enterprise, or alternatively hang in there with Submission, which is ready to turn your world upside down. If you need refreshment after all your exertions at the centre of the area is the iconic Re-Hydrator, which sits alongside Oblivion's pit. Alternatively heading up towards the Towers you will also find the Meltdown KFC restaurant as well as the area's shop, X-Sell, which sits between the X-Cite arcade and X-Pose, Oblivion's photo kiosk.
